Kontynuacja gry strategicznej, której tematem przewodnim są bitwy morskie z okresu II Wojny Światowej. Sequel pozwala na toczenie walk w rejonie Oceanu Spokojnego. Battlestations: Pacific jest drugą grą z serii Battlestations, produkowanej przez firmę Eidos. Produkt łączy w sobie elementy strategii oraz symulatora, przenosząc nas w czasy II Wojny Światowej. Battlestations: Pacific pozwala dokładnie zapoznać się z przebiegiem wydarzeń na Oceanie Spokojnym, dając możliwość rozegrania kampanii dwoma różnymi stronami konfliktu. Dowodząc wojskami Stanów Zjednoczonych, akcja rozpoczyna się po bitwie o Midway, czyli w momencie zakończenia poprzedniej odsłony Battlestations. Stając po stronie Japonii, przenosimy się do Perl Harbor, gdzie dowodzimy historycznym atakiem na zaokrętowane jednostki Aliantów. Dzięki opcji pozwalającej na prowadzenie wojsk z kraju Kwitnącej Wiśni, możemy zmienić bieg historii, gromiąc armię USA w najważniejszych bataliach na Pacyfiku. Produkt studia Eidos składa się z 28 misji, podczas których dowodzimy ogromną ilością wojska – w stosunku do poprzedniej części serii pojawiło się 21 zupełnie nowych jednostek. Do krążowników, niszczycieli, łodzi podwodnych, znanych z Battlestations: Midway, dołączyły m.in. szwadrony piechoty oraz piloci kamikadze. Pierwsi z nich odgrywają niebagatelną rolę, prowadząc działania dywersyjne – np. poprzez unieruchomienie naziemnych dział przeciwlotniczych. Trójwymiarowa grafika w Battlestations: Pacific prezentuje się okazale. Wszystkie jednostki wykonane są bardzo starannie, a środowisko, w którym toczymy walki, jest rozbudowane i posiada wysoki poziom interakcji. Tryb multiplayer został wzbogacony, względem Battlestations: Midway, świeżymi mapami oraz pięcioma, zupełnie nowymi trybami rozgrywki.
